Marks concept drawing

This is the concept drawing for Marks costume. It will be showing up on the blog before the week is out. Andreas french hood is cut and will be worked on along with bridgetts costume.

Cutting que line up

Last night we cut Bridgets skirt and made her mock up bodic to try on. For clients in the que here is the line up:

That will let you know how soon your garments will start showing up. During the Season I will be making some assesories for sale at the Croft Cottage store look for them there.

well Jades dress is done. The dress used 16 yards of beads and a bag of beads were sewed on individually. she looks gorgouse in the gown.

time for hand sewing

Its time to finish the gown with the hand sewing. we have 17 yards of corded pearls and a bag of individual pearls to bve added. last night we sat with Mama Mia playing and sewed our fingers numb. Tonights plan is more of the same.

Broken Down

Melinda is working on the partlet. I took close ups of those cartridge pleats both inside and out.

My Sewing machine broke down tonight so I have to take it into the repair shop tommorrow. The needle jammed and broke the needle plate. That seems to have messed wth the timing as it will not zig zag now.

Jades First fitting

Jade came for her first fitting. She was happy with the gown so far. We should be done with this dress by Wensday. Just a little finish work.

We are working on Jades Gown and are trying to decide which color to use and placement of trims. These are her fabrics for gown and under skirt. We settled on the first strip to be burgandy, now we must decide if we want to go narrow or wide between the black narrow and the burgandy. the strips will be lined with pearls.
